Israeli troops prepare for ‘almost certain’ ground invasion

Описание: The Australian’s Yoni Bashan says it’s almost certain there will be a ground invasion into Gaza by Israeli troops.

"I think right now we have a bit of a waiting game going on,” Mr Bashan told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

"We are almost certain there’s going to be a ground invasion into Gaza; it’s just yet to actually formally take place."

Mr Bashan’s remarks come after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to tear Hamas apart after its invasion of Israel.

“What we’re seeing at the moment is a build-up in ground troops, tanks and other personnel closer to the border with Gaza, and they’re on standby waiting to go in,” Mr Bashan said.
