Lou Klein and I became friends from the moment we met through NewRo Runners. Together, countless miles would simply fly by. Never one to shy away from a camera, he frequently became the subject of my running videos and photos, and over time I ended up with quite a collection of "Lou clips"
It was shocking to learn of his ALS diagnosis.
With his voice beginning to fade, I asked if he would like to record an interview about his life. Thanks to the openness of Lou and his family, this soon evolved into addition interviews, as well as documenting parts of their daily lives, and the challenges they are facing.
Not even ALS can diminish Lou's spirit. It's truly inspiring to witness. His friends have done a great deal to support him in his time of need, and that too is a special thing to see. I've tried my best to bring as much of that as I could to the screen here. I hope you enjoy.
