What You’ve Learned in Part 1 — What’s Coming in Part 2
In this lesson, we’ll briefly review what you’ve already learned in Part 1 of the course.
You can now confidently play in A minor on alto saxophone and D minor on tenor saxophone, using both rhythmic and melodic phrases to build musical ideas.
In Part 2, we’ll take this foundation much further.
You’ll learn how to:
• Play these phrases in all 12 keys
• Improvise a solo over a 12-bar major blues
• Use bends on the saxophone for more expressive playing
• Build your own personal vocabulary of phrases for improvisation
This next part of the course is about moving from patterns to musical freedom and confidence in any key.
