Описание: Tensions escalated at Jawaharlal Nehru University after clashes reportedly broke out between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and left-affiliated student groups on Sunday night.

According to statements from student representatives, both sides have accused each other of violence, stone pelting, and physical assault.

JNU Students’ Union President Aditi Mishra alleged that left student groups were protesting against the Vice Chancellor when ABVP members were called to the spot, leading to confrontation and injuries.

On the other hand, ABVP student leader and JNU Secretary Vaibhav Meena accused left-wing groups of initiating violence. He claimed several ABVP members were injured and that a police complaint has been filed.

This is not the first time JNU has witnessed student clashes. While it remains one of India’s most prestigious universities, it frequently makes headlines over campus protests and political tensions.
