Check out the new exclusive preview look from the upcoming 1348 Ex Voto running in Unreal Engine 5. We captured the first 1 hour of gameplay footage in RTX 5090 and 4K monitor (no commentary). This new game will launch as a PS5 console exclusive and will be also available in PC. It's a cinematic single player third person action adventure game set against the bleak backdrop of 14th-century Italy during the peak of the Black Death. The game blends historical realism with the narrative weight of chivalric tales. It's influenced by the Joan of Arc tale and games like Blight Survival, Hellblade, A Plague Tale; combined with the tactical unforgiving realism of the historical fencing combat from Kingdom Come Deliverance.

Description:

You play as Aeta, a battle-hardened soldier traveling through the rugged Apennine Mountains. Unlike a typical knight's homecoming, your mission is personal and desperate: you are searching for your kidnapped friend, Bianca. As you track her captors, you must navigate a world rotting from the plague and consumed by religious fanaticism.

Gameplay Features:

The Combat System: It is technical, demanding, and grounded in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). Stance Switching: You must fluidly switch between one-handed and two-handed grips. This isn't just for show (certain enemies can only be damaged or staggered if you are in the correct stance). Perfect Attacks: Timing is everything. By syncing your inputs with the moment of impact, you trigger "Perfect Attacks" that break enemy guards and maintain your offensive flow. Directional Parries: You have to actively read enemy movements to block or parry from the correct direction, making every duel a high-stakes game of chess.

Ultra Realistic Atmosphere and Visuals: Set during the peak of the Black Death in 14th-century Italy, the game blends brutal historical realism with a folk horror atmosphere. The game uses a bleak, "memento mori" aesthetic. You will explore abandoned mountain villages, claustrophobic forests, and shrines where survivors have left Ex Votos (religious offerings) in a futile attempt to ward off the pestilence. The horror is psychological and environmental rather than supernatural, focusing on the desperation of humanity at its breaking point.

Release Date and Platforms: Coming March 12, 2026 to PC and PS5 as a console exclusive.
