Here I show the technique I described in the first part of this series. I hone 2 razors on different stones.
The Recipie:
-Start with a joining maneuver on the 5K (it works on a 4K Norton too)
-Bring the edge back and finish with circles and/or trailing passes.
-Strop 10 passes linen, suede or both
-Pick your coticule and use a slight stream of water-enough to rinse away any garnets.
-Use light pressure, 6-8 ounces and alternate circles, Xs, throw in some half strokes if you like.
-Once you notice the razor starting to stick, TURN UP THE WATER STREAM to the thickness of a McDonlads straw.
-Finish with 1.5-2.0 ounces of pressure. Circles and maybe trailing passes.
-Strop 75 on linen, suede or both. I'm not afraid to lean on it here
-Finish on leather 50-100 or whatever you normally do.
