You take position in this strategy when your stock/index outlook is Volatile i.e you expect that spot price can make major move in either direction. Recommended when Volatility is High

No. of positions required : 2

Positions Legs : Buy Put, Buy Call. Expiration should be same

Max Risk: Limited

Max Gain : Unlimited

Entering strategy : Identify stocks where some news flow or events are expected which will led the stock price to move explosively in either direction. Example, earnings declaration or related court case judgment etc. Avoid taking position near expiration

Exit Strategy : Wait for strategy to become profitable. Book profit by squaring of both the positions at the same time. Experienced traders can square of 1 leg at the time to earn maximum possible profits

Money Inflow/Outflow : When you buy option money flows out of your account and when you sell option money flows into your account. In this case net money flows out of your account (sum of Call put premiums )
