I made the trek in the van out to Vancouver Island earlier this year to a great little community called Cumberland. Not only were there a bunch of great trails here, but there was a ton of people out enjoying them. I stayed on the more mellow trails, but was plenty surprised at the upper sections having a bunch of cool wooden features and some light tech. The bottom section was a bit more XC feeling but still enjoyable. Some day I'll have to get back out here to check out some of the gnarlier trails. On my way out, I also picked up a new bike, a Forbidden Dreadnought, who's company's name comes from the Forbidden Plateau trail system just next door to Cumberland.
