Day to night look - Part 1 - Easy makeup for all ages including mature women

Описание: Welcome to my VERY FIRST video! I'd like to start by telling you just a bit about me and what my channel is all about. This channel is for people of all ages so as you read below, please keep that in mind.

My name is Karen and I'm 55, about to be 56 in a few weeks. I have 4 grandchildren, 2 girls and 2 boys with another granddaughter due in October. About a year and a half ago, I dropped my eyeshadow and it broke into a bigillion pieces and I had a bit of a freak out since it was discontinued and I knew I'd have a hard time finding something like it. As I stared at myself in the mirror in shock and disbelief, I realized that I was wearing the exact same makeup that I had been wearing for over 20 years. Yep, 20+ years of the same foundation, a gold and brown eyeshadow (applied with the sponge applicator that came with it) and what ever mascara was on sale when I went to by more. Lipstick?? I had a couple of old tubes but I mostly wore Blistix so my lips wouldn't get dry.

So, I sat there thinking of what a rut I had fallen into and decided right then and there to make a change and went on a mad search on YouTube on how to apply makeup for us older/mature gals. What I found was a TON of cute 20 somethings that did an amazing job with makeup and being beautiful and bubbly but there makeup problems were not my makeup problems. Sure, I learned to use the right tools and how to blend and contour and how to embrace highlighter and false lashes. But did they show me how to camouflage my wrinkles and fine lines? Nope, cause they didn't have them yet! They didn't deal with menopause or hot flashes and weight gain and aches and pains throughout their bodies because of joints creaking in old age.

Now I did find a few channels that were helpful but they didn't upload on a regular basis and I was always looking for more. So, a little over a year went by and for the most part, I was still watching the same 20 something ladies and while my makeup skills got a lot better, I still wasn't finding much content for us older/mature ladies. Then it hit me, I've learned a lot and I'm a lot of fun so why don't I share what I've learned and help inspire others who may have been in the same rut that I was. I'm currently on a weight loss journey so if any of you out there want to shed a little weight or are thinking about it, please comment below and let me know either what you're doing or are thinking of doing to get started so we can all do this together! I'm currently limited on my exercise as I have 3 bulging disc’s in my lower back that until doctors can figure out what to do, I'm restricted and can't exercise that much because of the pain.
