Kid Icarus: Uprising is the third game in the Kid Icarus series, the previous two being on the NES and the Gameboy respectively, and at this point still the latest entry in the series.
In the game you play as the angel Pit, servant of the Goddess of Light, Palutena, and you're taking on the underworld army led by Medusa, the main villain from the first game, who's been resurrected somehow (somehow Medusa returned XD). Palutena grants Pit the power of flight, but it only lasts 5 minutes! After that he has to go on foot, but he's a skilled fighter both in the air and on the ground! On his journey Pit will meet new friends, like the human warrior Magnus, and foes, like the dark version of himself, Dark Pit aka Pittoo! But really though, how is it that Medusa could return?
Well, it turns out she was resurrected by Hades, the true master of the Underworld! Hades is the real bad guy behind everything that happened up to this point. But he's not the only one in the way of peace, as there are other gods and goddesses, malevolent beings and even aliens intent on destruction! Pit must face all of them and then deal with Hades to finally bring peace to the world!
