Large animal traps can be expensive, but when you use poison or leg hold type traps you risk hurting non target animals. And sometimes you don’t even want to hurt the target animal. Using the trigger method I will talk about on this video, you can make cage traps that will humanely capture wild animals. If your dog happens to get in the trap, it should be fine as long as it isn’t left in the trap too long. Please always keep the trap in a shady place and check it often.
Note, this video is mostly just about the trigger mechanism. I will try to produce more videos that show ways to make the cages and trapping tips. You might be able to figure out how to build the trap just from this one video. It shows the whole trap in action.
