Have you ever thought about running to be a councillor in your local area? We asked Ahmed, who is running to be a councillor in his borough some of the things a young person needs to think about if they want to do the same.
Age, gender and background do not have to be barriers to you running for elected office. In fact party affiliation doesn't have to be either. You can run as an independent if you feel that the current parties do not represent you.
