Former residents of Oakwood Plaza in Elizabeth who were displaced by Tropical Storm Ida were joined by community advocates Monday at City Hall to demand action. They have been living in hotels for months but some are now being told they must leave. They say CIS Management, which owns Oakwood Plaza, has offered to place them in other properties but that those properties are too far away.
