In a big pink playroom filled with brand-new toys, the Rich Princess loves showing off everything she owns. Meanwhile, Little Fireman and Little Policeman sit in their simple cardboard room, making the best of what they have and using their imagination to create fun games.

When the boys ask to play with the Princess’s fancy toys, she refuses and sends them away. But every time the Princess throws away a toy box after getting bored, Albert and Chris turn the discarded boxes into amazing new games—like feeding bouncy balls to a cardboard whale, rescuing people from a toy house fire, and building a homemade cardboard car.
Eventually, the Princess runs out of toys and realizes that buying more things doesn’t make playtime fun. Watching the boys laugh and create adventures with their cardboard inventions, she learns an important lesson about kindness, sharing, and forgiveness.
