The name of the hotel is linked back to 1874, the location’s historical significance. The first Osaka Station was born in this very location in the midst of Japan’s rush toward modernization. Rather than a traditional wooden structure, the Western-style station was built of red bricks, a symbol of a new age and a landmark for its time that attracted the populace and connected travelers to the city. Later, the station building was relocated, then repeatedly expanded and remodeled as Osaka itself developed and grew.

Inspired by the ticket inspection gate of the former station, the reception counter is compared to the ticket office, creating a sense of expectation for the time and space travel (accommodation experience) of the travelers. Looking down from above, the shape of the reception counter is the same as the hotel logo. Among them, the ring design with the first letter "O" of Osaka not only symbolizes traditional Japanese culture, but also represents the connection between people.

Breakfast is served at "THE-MOMENT GRILL&DINING" with the concept of "luxury train dining car". The basic menu includes egg dishes, warm vegetables and seasonal fruits, highlighting the high-quality ingredients selected from Osaka and all over Japan. On the 29th floor, about 140 meters above the ground, enjoy the street view of Osaka under the bright light and spend an elegant morning.

The "human clock" located in the lobby of the Osaka Station Hotel, Autograph Collection, is actually an art installation called the “Sweeper’s Clock” by Dutch designer Maarten Baas. It is a video installation that is part of the hotel's "THE OSAKA TIME" concept, celebrating the passage of time in the historic station location. It's a real, functional art installation that brings movement and human presence into the design, making it more than just a static timepiece. It features small figures of sweepers or cleaners who push lines of “trash” with their brooms. The position of these lines, formed by pieces of different types of materials, shifts over time to display the current hour and minute.

The artwork directly relates to the hotel's central theme, celebrating Osaka's railway history and the concept of time passing.
