Social movements held a candle-lit vigil in Bogota Monday October 9 for the victims of the Tumaco massacre.
On October 5, Colombian security forces opened fire on coca farmers protesting attempts to forcefully eradicate their crops. At least 6 farmers were killed and 20 more injured. Witnesses say the death count will surely rise.
Colombian social movements have called nation-wide protests in response.
