I’m running my own 1 tb drive with windows 10 os and the kriscoolmod.com retrobeast cabinet drive ssd. See link below. I own about 40 cabinets. And stacks of pcbs and arcade PCs. But I wanted a true all in one cabinet for my lake house. And my attempts at building my own hyperspin or attract mode drives SUCKED!! So A while back I mentioned to Kris that a smaller 2tb cabinet only system would be awesome. As long as it was affordable and had the same great service as his retrobeast 3 80tb system.

Well he knocked it out the park. Here is a snippet of it running on a completely stock pras. With the help of xoutput and hidhide to make the controls work in xinput. ( links below ). And python and pyserial to make the vfd and led lights work ( links below ) I have a awesome setup working and just need locks and art work and some 100jpy tokens and I’m in business

This cabinet and drive combo is my new favorite. Even more than my vewlix running the FREE ttx3 multi ( which is included on the retrobeast cabinet drive ). Yes you can take the time and build the drive your self. Yes it’s all out on the net for free. But for the 150 dollars it cost on top of the cost of the drive. My time was more valuable. So to each his own. Anyways. Hope you enjoyed the info. If you’re on the fence on getting one of these cabinets. DO IT !!! But make sure it will have the allsnet pc in it. Or else running the lights and stuff will be hard.
