The George Bush Center for Intelligence is the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency, located in Langley near Washington, D.C. It was the world's largest intelligence headquarters from 1959 until 2019 when it was surpassed by Germany's BND headquarters. The Central Intelligence Agency was created on July 26, 1947 when president Harry S. Truman signed the National Security Act into law. Before its current name, the CIA headquarters was formally unnamed.
