Joe Paradise and his Music was a short-lived venture which recorded for Parlophone between September 1935 and July 1936. “Whispering” comes from their second recording session. They also broadcast on the BBC.
“Joe Paradise” was an invented name, and was, in effect, a “brand”. The small band was probably directed by Phil Green.
Recorded for the Parlophone label in 1935, this recording is long out-of-copyright. This side has been remastered from an original 78rpm disc by this user and is a unique transfer. This cannot be copied or sold without the permission of Peter Wallace.
