On day 17 of fire-cooking, I’ll show you how to make this awesome flatbread with minimal effort and maximum satisfaction.
These were some of the easiest wood fired oven flatbreads I've ever made. Please give the recipe a try and start making your own delicious homemade bread. Sometimes, all I need in life is olive oil, a loaf of bread, and simplicity. For me, that's enough. The flatbread is definitely good enough to eat plain. However, since the oven is already fired up, why not make one of my other delicious meat dishes to go with it. There’s no point in wasting a hot oven!
6 cups of semolina, 2 cups of bread flour, dry yeast, a pinch of salt, optionally add black and green cumin, 1 cup of milk, and a drizzle of olive oil. Mix everything together until well blended. Finally, add 2 cups of water and knead the dough for 7 to 10 minutes to achieve a soft, smooth ball, essential for developing gluten and ensuring a chewier texture. Cover the dough and allow it to rest for 30 minutes to let the yeast activate and the dough to double in size.
