Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assuming office for the third term. In his congratulatory post, Nawaz Sharif talked about "replacing hate with hope and seizing the opportunity to shape the destiny of the two billion people of South Asia". In his response, PM Modi said "advancing the security" of Indians will always remain a priority, referring to India's long-standing position on Pakistan, that is, terrorism and talks cannot go together. Recently, a Pakistani terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Taiba struck a bus full of pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir's Reasi, killing nine people.
