Making an Aluminum Shutter Lock Box

Описание: Here is all the footage I took while making the amazing Magnificus puzzle box! (Ok, so it's not really a "puzzle" as much as it is a box built inside a combination lock, but that's just what I've been calling it.)

In this video, you'll see all the various steps involved in its creation:
1. Creating the CAD simulation.
2. Shaping the main body.
3. Cutting the threaded ring and the decorative top ring that hold other components in place.
4. Making the tumbler that acts as the locking mechanism.
5. Sizing the internal storage compartment.
6. Dancing (lots of dancing)
7. Creating the machine tool path for the CNC machine and testing it on wax.
8. Using the proven CNC tool path on solid aluminum.
9. Getting the CNC'd rings to the right thickness.
10. Cutting key paths into the main body.
11. Threading holes for screws.
12. Making the inner decorative ring.
13. Shaping the spring loaded pins that serve dual purpose of producing a satisfying clicking noise and actuating the correct combination.
14. CNCing the specially shaped teeth for the shutter.
15. Final Assembly.
