Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke has called for a Pan-Asia rail link to connect his country with China. Loke said the line would offer an alternative trade route for Beijing and other Southeast Asian nations amid security concerns in the South China Sea. In an interview with the Post, he also addressed challenges Malaysia and the rest of the region face amid growing geopolitical uncertainties and the re-election of US president Donald Trump.
