Counting Stars - One Republic Marimba Trio Cover

Hey, welcome to our channel, JST - Just Music Covers. We're a trio of high school students who play music and want to show our performances on the internet.

This first song, Counting Stars by One Republic, was just a cool thing we decided to do when we got a marimba in our school band. Over the course of our second semester, we just kept practicing it, and then came the idea of recording it and uploading it.
This is just some arrangement we made from stringing other arrangements we found online. The video's a bit rough, as it was recorded last minute, since we had to return it to the school we borrowed it from. The green screen was pretty cool too, but it's the first time we've tried using one, so the effect is a little rough, too. We won't be using it that often, though.

Not every one of our covers will be like this, though. We'll have more and different instrumentation, as well as recording separate parts instead of filming live. Our next cover should come in September-October, so look forward to that.

NOTE: The ending message is directed toward our old band teacher, who left to another school this year. It's okay though, our new director is pretty cool
