Today the minister in charge, Michael Gove, set out 12 objectives, or Missions, to make opportunity more equal and shift wealth and power to overlooked communities so they could control their own destinies.

But Labour said the strategy lacked ambition, with shadow levelling-up secretary Lisa Nandy saying: 'After all the big promises, is this really it?'.
