In Rampurhat from the Birbhum district of West Bengal, a fire raged for 90 minutes, killing at least 8 people, without any help from the police. The reason for the violence is said to be an internal political rift between Trinamool Congress Party workers. West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar called Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee out for the late help from the police force.
