María José Tirado, guitarrista natural de Ciudad Real, es actualmente profesora en el Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Linares. Ha estudiado con personalidades como Marco Smaili, Pedro Martín, Javier Riba y Ricardo Gallén. Compagina su labor docente con la investigación musical acerca de la figura de Vicente Arias Castellanos, luthier castellano-manchego, con el fin de publicar el primer catálogo de sus instrumentos en ámbito nacional, así como su primera biografía oficial.

María José Tirado, a guitarist from Ciudad Real, is currently a teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Linares. She has studied with renowned figures such as Marco Smaili, Pedro Martín, Javier Riba, and Ricardo Gallén. She combines her teaching work with musical research on the figure of Vicente Arias Castellanos, a luthier from Castilla-La Mancha, with the aim of publishing the first catalogue of his instruments at the national level, as well as his first official biography.

Guitarra construida por Vicente Arias en el año 1913 en Madrid cuando tenía 81 años de edad. Falleció en enero de 1914.
A nivel histórico esta guitarra es de importancia capital ya que fue construida por Vicente Arias poco antes de su muerte y está catalogada como tal en el libro “Vicente Arias. The forgotten luthier. 1833 – 1914, obra de Siegfried Hogenmüller.

La tapa es de pino abeto y los aros y fondo de arce. El arce se utilizaba para las guitarras de gama alta. El instrumento es uno de los mejores ejemplos de la maestría de Vicente Arias. Se trata de una guitarra extra ligera, estéticamente adornada y bella, en la decoración de la roseta combina tonos verdes, rojos, amarillos y negros.

El sonido del instrumento es de aquellos que no se olvidan una vez se escucha. Los agudos aterciopelados y los bajos profundos hacen de esta guitarra un instrumento muy sensible y de voz noble.

Historically, this guitar is of paramount importance as it was built by Vicente Arias shortly before his death and is catalogued as such in the book ‘Vicente Arias. The forgotten luthier. 1833 – 1914’, by Siegfried Hogenmüller.

The top is made of spruce pine and the sides and back are made of maple. Maple was used for high-end guitars. The instrument is one of the best examples of Vicente Arias' mastery. It is an extra-light guitar, aesthetically adorned and beautiful, with a rosette decoration combining shades of green, red, yellow and black.

The sound of the instrument is one that is unforgettable once heard. The velvety trebles and deep basses make this guitar a very sensitive instrument with a noble voice.

El arreglo de Miquel Llobet de "Clavelitos" es una muestra clara de su virtuosismo como guitarrista y su sensibilidad como arreglista. Originalmente una canción popular española (zarzuela ligera) compuesta por Joaquín Valverde, Llobet transforma esta pieza sencilla y alegre en una obra técnicamente exigente y musicalmente rica para guitarra solista.

Miquel Llobet's arrangement of ‘Clavelitos’ is a clear example of his virtuosity as a guitarist and his sensitivity as an arranger. Originally a popular Spanish song (light zarzuela) composed by Joaquín Valverde, Llobet transforms this simple, cheerful piece into a technically demanding and musically rich work for solo guitar.
