Being raised by an untreated parent who has Borderline Personality Disorder tends to create certain relationship issues, as well as certain personal beliefs and thoughts- both in childhood and adulthood, and held by children of parents with BPD.

This video explores 12 of the most common beliefs and thoughts that children of Borderline parents often have about themselves and their parent with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Due to the nature of BPD existing on a wide spectrum --- some, none or many children of BPD parents may feel and believe the issues discussed in this video.

Borderline love can be complicated love- for everyone.

It is often the case that those with BPD struggle to share and express love toward their children in more consistent and stable and secure ways, obviously due to their own struggles.

And, while from a mental health perspective it is important to acknowledge and understand the pathology we can see in Borderline PD and have compassion for those who struggle....

I also believe there are literally millions of children of Borderline parents who have no idea how to describe the complicated nature of their childhoods, and who in turn, have many complicated relationship and mental health issues that are untreated, unsupported and unhealed--- and were never validated.
