This past weekend (October 23rd–26th), I had the privilege of attending the 16th Annual 5th Scale West Coast Nationals at the Good ‘Ol Boyz R/C Club Raceway in Bakersfield, California. It was a fun-filled four days of 5th Scale Off-Road racing, and the energy on and off the track was incredible.

A big thank you goes out to Ed and Cindy Turney, the entire GOB Crew, and all the event sponsors for putting on such an outstanding venue. Your tireless dedication and hard work are truly appreciated—you provided racers with a first-class track and atmosphere to enjoy our “big toy cars.”

Special appreciation to Race Director Farmer, who kept the program running smoothly and the Mains moving quickly all weekend long.

For those who may not know, Good ‘Ol Boyz R/C Club Raceway features both a 5th Scale and an 8th Scale track located side-by-side. Be sure to follow their Facebook page for practice and race schedules for each particular track.
