In the ancient Igbo village of Umueze, two sisters lived under the same thatched roof but in two completely different worlds. Adaeze was beautiful, proud, and consumed by jealousy. Nkiruka was plain, quiet, and pure of heart. When their mother's most sacred calabash was shattered in the night, one sister pointed at the other — and an innocent girl was cast into the evil forest to die.
But the forest had other plans.
