The 450 Stearman "Black Gold" is in dire need of a diet, having far more avionics than necessary and a full inverted oil and gas system for aerobatics.
Here it is on its ferry trip up to Felt's Field to begin its weight loss. Flown to the Pemberton hangar by Ryan Pemberton, owned by the Fenwick family and soon to be refit by Stuart Fenwick with the help of Addison Pemberton and Pemberton and Son's Aviation.
