Kenya’s economy maintained steady growth in October, supported by strong fiscal performance and accommodative monetary policy.
Tax revenues rose to Kshs1.5 trillion in Q1 FY 2025/26, exceeding the Kshs1.1 trillion target, highlighting resilient domestic borrowing and investor confidence in Kenya’s markets.
Inflation remained stable at 4.6%, with mild pressure from food, beverages, and utilities. In response, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) lowered the lending rate from 9.5% to 9.25% to support credit growth and ease borrowing costs.
With a stable shilling, manageable inflation, and robust activity in the services sector, Kenya’s economic outlook for 2025 remains positive, signaling continued growth momentum for the months ahead.
