What’s Changed on the Gen 6 Glock?

Glock took major cues from the aftermarket world — and built many of those mods straight into the gun. Highlights include:

Completely new grip shape + texture
Feels nothing like previous gens — slimmer, more natural, less “brick-like.”

Revised "stippling" with layered texture (larger bumps + grip surface in between)

Integrated gas pedal / support-hand reference point

Trigger guard undercut + new flat-face trigger

Deeper slide serrations for better manipulation

Optics-ready from factory — no MOS vs non-MOS split
Every Gen 6 will be optics-ready, with a new mounting system that sits lower, improves compatibility, and helps absorb recoil with a polymer compression insert instead of a plate.

We shot it briefly and — early impressions — we’re impressed. It feels like a real generational jump, not just texture changes. If you already have a fully-modded Gen 5, this may not be a mandatory upgrade… but if you’re buying your first Glock, this could save you money on aftermarket work since so many upgrades are already baked in.

The Gen 6 finally feels like what many shooters have been building through aftermarket mods for years. Grip, optics mounting, ergonomics — they all got meaningful changes. You’ll really understand it once you put one in your hand.
