A great trainer once told me that eye contact was the most important thing when it came to training. But for our dogs that can't see, eye contact isn't exactly possible... however, if you have the focus of your dog, they are engaged in what you are doing and waiting eagerly to learn more then that is important too.
Focus isn't about eye contact with blind dogs, it's about giving our dogs time to want to learn with us, using their ears and nose to learn from what we do.
