The Lueg is a hill with a well-known viewpoint in the municipality of Affoltern im Emmental, Switzerland. We had actually planned a leisurely spring walk and a short flight with our parrot anafi drones. However, the unexpected onset of winter dramatically altered the conditions for the flights. The temperature was just above freezing and the batteries we were using weren’t particularly well-suited to cold weather. Freeflight reported that the battery was operating at just 85% of its original capacity. The flight lasted over 10 minutes and reached an altitude of 230 metres. Nevertheless, after the flight the battery still had a remaining capacity of over 25%. It never ceases to amaze me what this small, albeit slightly older, drone is capable of.
