Описание: When Indian immigrants moved around the world to work as indentured labourers, they brought their folksongs and folktales with them. In the audio recording, Mr. Bisai tells part of the ancient folktale of Veer Lorik and Chanda, better known as Lorikayan Chandaini. Mr. Bisai came to Suriname in 1908 with the ship 'Ganges' and was originally from Dheburwa, Basti, Uttar-Pradesh, India. This was recorded in the 1960s in Tout Lui Faut, Suriname.
