Deputy President Paul Mashatile says the deployment of the South African Defence Force to some provinces to combat organized crime will be intelligence-led. Mashatile made the remarks in Parliament whilst answering oral questions in the National Council Of Provinces. In his State of the Nation Address, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the army would soon be deployed to Gauteng, Western Cape as well as the Eastern Cape provinces to deal with violent crime.
