Also known as King of Demons.
A solid platformer. It's a little on the easy side, but that's okay. Hit select at the title screen to access the options where you can switch to hard mode. Rather than a lazy HP job, it improves most enemies' attack patterns and goes a long way towards fixing the tame difficulty.
The game's main gimmick is that you can switch between various demonic forms using crystals dropped by bosses. To get the best ending, use the red, green, and blue forms once each, which will unlock the ultimate form for the final stage.
I wouldn't count this among the Super Famicom's top tier, but there are a lot of good things about it. The atmosphere is pretty great. I like that scoring points strengthens your character, even if the scoring system is as bare bones as can be. If you're going for the best ending, the choice of which form to use in which area adds a nice bit of lightweight strategy too.
