Rob Jetten, incoming prime minister of the Netherlands has stated that talks with Russia are “premature” as Russia doesn’t show signs of wanting to end the war. Zelensky has talked about the “Anchorage formula” and has stated that it’s not hard to understand what Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump may have agreed upon in Alaska. He has then stated that it’s precisely because discussions have taken place in some format (referring to the Alaska summit) that a lot of issues are so complex today. Bloomberg has reported that the EU is considering replacing the Russian oil price cap with a full maritime ban. Donald Trump has stated that the Russia-Ukraine talks have a good chance of success.
