Here are Mickey's Notes featured at the end of the video:

1. The strike-face must be smooth and free of deformations or defects.
2. The strike-face should have a downward angle to deflect the bullet and bullet fragments down to the ground.
3. No steel core or penetrator ammunition at any time should be shot into steel. The projectiles should all be lead, copper or some other frangible material meant to deform and break up at impact.
4. Know the distance of the steel.
5. Wear safety glasses with side protection rated for such activities.
