Michael Baraka Nyakabeji, a Conservation Fellow with Wild Earth Allies, is an emerging scientist working with our partner Primate Expertise (PEx) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In this short video, Michael shares how he uses camera traps to document the rich biodiversity of Kahuzi-Biega National Park, including elusive species that are rarely seen in the wild.
Primate Expertise (PEx) conserves non-human primates through research, education, and livelihood initiatives. They also inspire the next generation of Congolese scientists and conservation leaders. Partnering with Wild Earth Allies, PEx works in the upland sector of Kahuzi-Biega National Park and on Idjwi Island to protect wildlife in ways that improve community well-being.
