Lake Gregory pulled a fast one and did a surprise stocking of 2,000lb of Calaveras trout (Lightning & Rainbow trout) ! Word spread quick. I arrived at 6am, It was still pitch dark but there were plenty of people already fishing as their lights lit up the whole lake. I waited until it was bright to make my way around the lake jigging with no success. When the wind picked up, I swapped to powerbait which seemed to get the job done.
Gear: Ace Hawk 6' Rod + Diawa Alphas Air TW + 4lb izorline xxx
Phenix mirage 6'1" rod + Shimano Sahara 500 reel + 4lb izorline xxx
Bait: size 18 treble hook + 1/8 ounce sinker + Chartreuse & Cheese powerbait
