ICC-accredited lawyer Gilbert Andres said he does not know if the International Criminal Court has already issued a warrant of arrest for 8 “co-perpetrators” of ex-president Rodrigo Duterte.

“Technically, walang may alam kung may application for arrest warrant or if there is a warrant of arrest,” he said in a DZMM interview.

He added that the process is deliberately kept secret, and that the prosecutor must apply with the chamber for the warrant, which will then be brought to Interpol.

In the interview, Andres said the ICC trial of ex-president Duterte could start as early as October this year, or as late as October 2027.
