The investment orientation of the Indian Government is helping the state revive its industries – tourism, agriculture, handicrafts. The panel discusses the key steps being taken by the government to overcome challenges and promote industry in the region as well as to promote Jammu and Kashmir outside the union territory. Investors can be brought in from India and overseas implementing policies and creating facilities. The state can excel in handicrafts, hospitality, and the food processing industry. Apart from this, the region has huge return on investment from the IT and pharma sector.
