Backpacking Pakistan: Attabad Lake, Passu Bridge and the journey home: the final chapter of my time exploring northern Pakistan.
This video captures the full contrast of travel. The unreal turquoise of Attabad Lake, trying yak burgers for the first time, hiking to viewpoints that don’t feel real, attempting the famous Passu Suspension Bridge, and swimming in a lake surrounded by mountains.
And then, the reality check. What should have been a straightforward journey back to Islamabad turned into a 26-hour travel day after getting caught in a huge protest. Exhausting, uncomfortable, chaotic, but also one of those moments that reminds you that travel isn’t always smooth, and that’s often where the real stories live.
This is Part 3 and the final video in my Pakistan series. From dream-like landscapes to long travel days, this country gave me everything, and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.
I can’t wait to come back and explore more.
