Recommendations for proper storage of cigars
Finally some recommendations for storing your cigars.
If stored at proper temperature and humidity levels, cigars can be stored in humidors for an unlimited time.
The optimum temperature for cigar storage is 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. Cool wine cellars are therefore normally not ideal for storing cigars. However it is more important to avoid high temperatures over 24 degrees Celsius. Therefore you should not expose your humidor to direct sunlight.
And another recommendation: Apart from the proper temperature and humidity level, cigars also need a regular supply of fresh air. At least every two weeks you should open your humidor. Your cigars will be grateful!
