A mix of two sports - cross country skiing and rifle shooting, all in one race. The cross country element means the athletes have to skate their skis on ascents and along the flat traverses and use gravity to assist their descents, often using the ski poles to help pull them upwards or push them along. For every rifle target missed there is a penalty - in real cross country that penalty loop, ie further to ski.

In this game mode there are 4 phase types - ascend, traverse, descend and shooting range. The controls vary a bit between phases. The three skiing phases require a good rhythm for momentum. During the shooting phase, the sights constantly drop down the targets, requiring good timing to hit them - the faster your heart rate the faster the sight cycle runs. Don't forget to open the bolt and load your ammo. The penalty for missing a target is simply a time penalty at the end, so no extra joystick/d-pad waggling than the default race distance.

⬇️ Open bolt (shooting phase)
