A level crossing with an obstacle detection system located next to Billingshurst Railway Station in the South Downs. It's at present West Sussex's only level crossing of this type - a Manually Controlled Barriers with Obstacle Detection (MCB-OD) - and its alarms are really quite loud for its environment. There are also four LED pedestrian lights here as an additional warning for foot traffic, one of which is on a bracket. An ivy-covered post partially obscures one of the road traffic lights/wigwags here. A cluster of four trains which all came within around fifteen minutes of each other can be seen in this video.
Thanks for watching!
