Описание: India and the United States have finalised an interim trade deal that reduces US tariffs on Indian goods to a final 18 per cent, down from a potential 50 per cent that included penalties linked to Russian oil purchases. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal described the framework as a historic milestone in bilateral ties. Under the agreement, both sides will lower tariffs, address non-tariff barriers, expand market access and boost digital and technology trade. US President Donald Trump said India has also committed to purchasing $500 billion worth of US energy, aircraft, metals, coal and technology products over five years, alongside deeper cooperation in areas such as GPUs, data centres and advanced technology.
