Love and Hip Hop star Karen King was scheduled to start trial back in June in a Fulton County Georgia courtroom on charges that she allegedly used a stolen credit card to make unauthorized purchases. King was represented by celebrity attorney Drew Findling who has represented some of the biggest names in hip hop. Mr. Findling successfully argued that the prosecutors were not ready for trial because their star witness couldn't be produced thus the case should be thrown out. Ultimately the prosecution conceded and dismissed the case.
Mr. Findling’s track record is strong, both legally and interpersonally: He began representing Gucci Mane near the rapper’s drug-riddled rock bottom in 2013 and helped to negotiate the federal plea deal, for possession of a firearm by a felon, that put a stop to his downward spiral. (Mr. Findling later secured Gucci Mane’s early release from prison after three years, leading to the rapper’s magnificent rebirth and best-selling autobiography.)
